Task deadlines and dependencies
These settings are in the Advanced section of the “Process task” dialog.
Set start/end date

Defines when the task date is set:
| Value | When the date is set |
|---|---|
| On creation | When the process is created. |
| Planned only | Only if the task has the status “Planned”. |
| Not started | If the task has the status “Planned” or “Open”. |
| Not completed | If the task is not completed or cancelled. |
The last three values are used when a task that depends on a parent or previous task is activated.
Start/end date offset

The date from which the task's start/end date is calculated:
| Value | Reference date |
|---|---|
| None | The date is not set. |
| Owner start | The start of the object from which the task was created – for example the start of the engagement or the order. This date can be changed when the process is started. |
| Owner end | The end of the object from which the task was created. |
| Parent task start | The start of the parent task. Used in combination with the last three values of “Set start/end date”. |
| Parent task end | The end of the parent task. |
| Previous task start | The start of the previous task. |
| Previous task end | The end of the previous task. |
Days and minutes
How many days or minutes to add to the reference date.
Example: start = 3 days from Owner start, and the process was created from an engagement – the task starts 3 days after the date the engagement takes effect. End = −5 days from Owner end – the task ends 5 days before the end of the engagement.
Skip non-working days
When selected, the non-working days from the main work calendar are skipped when adding the days and minutes.
Link to parent/previous task

| Finish-to-start | After the parent/previous task finishes. |
| Start-to-start | After the parent/previous task starts. |
| Finish-to-finish | Not currently used for activation. |
